BASS FISHING IN FLORIDA

Bass fishing in Florida can be simplified dramatically by limiting your lure selection. In Florida, you are looking for clear water and warm water. Anything above 62 degrees you will usually be able to use a topwater lure.

Below 62 degrees you will be using you worms, spinner baits, jerk baits, and other such lures. Any hard bait meaning a jerk bait, chug bug or anything like that, should be utilized with a split ring. A split ring enables the lure to have as much action as possible.

Below are numerous lures that I use in the State of Florida with great success. If your tackle box has these lures, I think you will have great success.

With respect to the flapping shad, you will need to use a wide gap #5 worm hook or fluke hook. These are all available at Bass Pro Shops.
